I am an Assistant Professor in Management at D’Amore-McKim School of Business, Northeastern University, with a secondary appointment in Bouvé College of Health Sciences.
I study how social structures and systems of accountability shape professional practice, and how these practices in turn reshape social structures. I am particularly interested in contexts where norms are ambiguous, contested, or in tension with formal rules.
I received my Ph.D. in Organizations and Management from Yale University. I graduated with B.S. in Economics and B.S. in Mathematics (with distinction) from Cornell University.
My research has received the Responsible Research in Management Award, was named a finalist for the SMS Annual Conference Responsible Research Paper Prize, and has appeared in leading journals including Administrative Science Quarterly, Organization Science, JAMA, and Health Affairs.
